Today I had the opportunity to meet Monica Kelson from Midnight Sun a special events coordination company. Monica is from Norway and full of energy, we wish her much success in her business endeavors.

As many of our clients and boudoir fans know we specialize in a unique style of boudoir photography, better known as ” RP Pinup” Images. We are the modernized edge of “Pinup” photography and one of the first in the country to specialize in it!

To give you who do not know what “Pinups” are a quick briefing. “Pinups” became very well known in the early 1900’s as our troops headed out off to war. Their ladies in waiting would have their portraits done and send them off to their soldiers, who then would “Pinup” these images on their lockers, hence the name was then coined “Pinup” which vastly grew the meaning of “the all american woman”. Most of these images were the work of artist such as painters and their imaginations and interpretations of the ” All American House Wife” none were ever photographed rather painted on canvas with oils or pastels and very few were ever able to perfect the art of lingerie in the “Pin-up” art due to the difficulty in being able to get the real sense and feel of it being some what transparent.

We thoroughly enjoy capturing these images in which our clients are proud to present to their significant others on the day of their wedding, one year anniversaries, or on Valentines’ day! These are truly the gift that will live on!

Today Nitin, Clark & Darrel who I ve been buddies with for a long time came over to the our Studio to record some interviews of the actors for the movie that they just finished – Prayer Life. We had a good time while Darrel was his usual self, while Clark started reminding me about my photography experiments that I used to torture them with

It was a busy day today ! We started with Bridal Portraits of Laurie and Scott this morning. Erica was their awesome makeup artist who took my pictures while I was in action

 It was a pleasure to shoot pictures of Laurie and Scott as they were the most laidback couple ! Here are few images from this morning.

After Laurie and Scott we had Carly and the Amazing George (who wanted to go home and watch TV). However we all convinced him to stay back and get his pictures taken with his wife Carly like a good little boy. Before he left he said it was well worth the stay and getting his pictures taken … it meant a lot to us. Here are few samples.

Heather and Jeff patiently waited while I was finishing up the senior pictures and then we were off to the Main Street, Warrenton to get their engagement pictures taken. Cant wait to shoot their wedding in November as they are so much fun to work. The following images sum-up their relationship.
