Sara and Henning

Sara and Henning will be wed in Hawaii in April of this year. As we returned form RI this afternoon we went right into shooting their e-session here in Warrenton. They brought along their poochie Duke for a few fun shots in the snow before their session began. Duke posed a little for us before he took a nap! Even with the snow we were able to get a few hot images!

April is back from Mexico and MARRIED! Congrats!

For many of you who follow April is one of our past boudoir clients from PA. Well she was just married in February in Mexico and has shared some of her shots with us! We are so excited that she was willing to give permission to share the images of her husbands expression as he was presented his wedding gift! Tell me if that isn’t one happy man!

We also would like to extend our thanks to Sol Tamargo and Matt Adcock of Delsol Photography for allowing us to use a few of their images to show her husband’s gratititude for his gift!

RP Tip #8: Think E-Session!

Disclaimer: RP Tips are based solely on our experiences as full time wedding photographers and posted at our discretion. RP Tips may not suit everyone’s wants or needs. RP Tips are offered as a benefit to brides planning their wedding day in an effort to get the best results from a photographer from our stand point. RP Tips are a trademark of Regeti’s Photography owned and operated by Amy and Srinu Regeti.

Most photographers will encourage you to consider an engagement session in order to help you prepare for your big day. Sessions on average in our area range from $100 -500.00 depending on the photographer often in which is typically offered or discounted in a package. The session can play an important and vital role in the outcome of your wedding day photos for several reasons. Typically when you meet your photographer it was during a more or less screening/interview process that you were doing on the day that you met. Where as your next meeting will then become a more personal one on one time between all of you, when it is during a session where he/she has your undivided attention this will allow you to express your expectations as well as for the photographer to explain to you what he/she may need to meet, them whether it be time, lighting, or even a shot list. Many of which will become more ironed out as the day gets gradually closer. In the end these images will help give you insight on how you as a couple photograph and will allow you to bring it to your photographer’s attention beforehand if there is something you are not happy with. Later may very well be too late.

So what do people typically do with engagement session (e-session) photos? Well today’s bride is more and more into personalizing almost every thing. From the save-the-date to the sign in frame after your wedding day the two of you will never be the same. It s so important that your images reflect who and what you truly are whether it be playful or polite, you should be sure they are done right.

When deciding what to wear for your session there are several things to keep in mind first and foremost that you want to look natural. It is suggested to stay away from busy shirts and even shoes as they take attention away from the subject matter, if possible avoid white (As it gets dirty too easily!) try to stay solid neutral with your tops. Remember trends and fashions are not how you want your children to remember you, you want for when people look back at your photos for them to say how in love the two of you truly were not that bell bottoms we back in at that time, so be stylish with taste more so then with trend. When deciding where you to have your photos taken keep in mind that scenery should not be the focus of this shoot, it should be the two of you and where you are the most playful, try to find a place that will allow you to bring out your inner self and be at ease. This may mean considering a less crowded area or a more city like setting instead when you can’t decide ask your photographer as they will be more then happy to help you decide.

The Regeti’s Interviewed by the ACP (Atlantic City Press)

We were approached recently by an Atlantic City Press reporter for an interview on our Boudoir Marathons that are done nationwide. We are very happy to see how the article turned out as we did not have as much time to talk during our ABC Nightline interview last June. Feel free to check it out!
