It was a pleasure to be back at Addison Park in New Jersey, the venue itself is just stunning with it’s unique contemporary decor combined with it’s ability to handle an event as large as Smitha and Nikul’s guest list!

We had the pleasure of meeting Smitha in 2008 as her and her sister Santhi came into the studio as they were planning Santhi and Anand’s wedding for last March. So for us it was like spending time once more with old and dear friends. Not much has changed except the fact that the Vemuri family has been growing rapidly in the last 14 months, now that Smitha and Santhi’s parents now have two more men in the family it is certain to be a bit more complete and well rounded.

Even though we were with Smitha and Nikul from 7am until midnight on Saturday the time felt like it just flew right on by! There was so much energy and enthusiasm in the air, along with a bunch of wonderful amazing details to be photographed that before we knew it, it was time for the after party!

It was a pleasure to work with so much talent. To quickly give some shout outs let me begin with DJ Sherod with DJ South Asia, every time we have been at an event with him he keeps the dance floor moving, I am not sure what his going rate is, but he is worth every penny! Edward Andrejewski over at Addison Park was a pleasure to work with as he is so laid back and easy going. It is unbelievable at how clean and immaculate the venue has been kept. Preeti Nanvaan with Preeti Exclusive Creations and her team of 5 were on top of their game ensuring that nothing was missed and everything occurred on time. Lastly incredible shouts-outs to Moghul Caterers for their awesome food, from presentation, to delivery, on into the taste and freshness of their food. Mr. Rajeev Sachdeva was non-stop as they rolled out all the trimmings during Smitha and Nikul’s wedding. Most of all the dessert room was equally like walking into Willy Wonka’s candy factory, but with any baked good that you could imagine being present! Moghul Caterers has catered a few of the events that we have photographed and while with other Caterers we get so worried to post them because it is pretty hit or miss sometimes we feel that it is due time to give them credit for such an outstanding delivery of product and service. And finally our last shout-out is to Nikon and the new D3s, without it some of the images featured here today would not have been possible!

Now that I am wishing that we were in that sweets room again let’s get onto the images!

Unfortunately we were too busy to eat any of the sweet treats, maybe next time around!

So it was actually Ms. Sara who chimed in for the blossoms initially and how dare I tell her “No.”, as one of our past clients viewing our previous posts stated just a moment ago on our Facebook page “Did they offer you a million dollars?”… we were laughing hysterically because we have not been back to the blossoms in three years because it just was too insane the last time we were there! But luckily Sara and Kevin were troopers and they just followed our lead doing anything and everything we asked, the result… that you can see for yourself and no one would know that there were a gazillion people around, just Sara and Kevin in DC!

Sara and Kevin will be getting married in June at the fabulous Four Seasons and we just cannot wait! Sara is the most joyful, bubbly, charismatic soul I think that I have met till now, she is so tiny yet packs such a powerful punch in her personality, she is one that once you have met her she is so genuine and pure hearted that you cannot help but fall in love with her. This explains Kevin He is the exact opposite as far as being laid back and subtle, full of humor and up for anything as long as it makes Sara happy… including rescuing their duffle bag from the Metro, but that is a story for them to share being posted on the blog I could not even begin to do it justice!

We knew the moment we met the entire family at our studio that this was a couple that truly won our hearts, we are not only honored to have been selected as their photographers, but were more than happy to endure the blossoms to spend some time with them on a bit of a double-date during their session, much love goes out to you both!

Usually we try to blog in order, but today not so much so. After coming back from New Jersey right off of Smitha and Nikul’s wedding we decided since we have more wedding images to choose from then the two engagement sessions that we photographed just this Sunday that we were going to blog the engagement sessions first.

Many clients who know us and know us well know that The Regeti’s totally do not do Esessions during the blossoms. To put it simply enough we just feel that between the crowd and the fencing that keeps you from really enjoying the city it somewhat can take away from the entire experience because it is often us and 1.5 million other people! People who also want to be in your engagement photos But this weekend we took it all in and since we had a request that happened to be for the same location on the same day we figured we would make the venture out to the city during the blossoms and make sure our clients we happy!

Thus enters Amit and Shikha with whom we had a wonderful afternoon with. Shikha has eyes that can just mesmerize you and Amit full of child-like character that can keep one laughing well into forever, perhaps that makes them both blessed as they move into their future together now that their studies are finally wrapping up and life for the two of them can truly begin! Stay tuned for their reappearance on the blogged in May as the officially tie the knot! Thanks guys for being so great we will see you both very soon… 40 days is it now Amit?

For those of you who celebrate, Happy Easter weekend to you! In observation of the holiday the RP Studio will not be open today, Friday the 2nd of April, however we will be back in the studio on Monday the 4th of April.
