Lately it appears that weekday weddings are becoming more and more popular.

Due to the short notice we did not have as much time to spend with Sona and Gaurav as we would have liked, however none-the-less it was still an honor to have a past client remember us enough to refer us to a dear friend, which always makes us feel special!

We spend a great amount of time with their families during pre-functions leading up to their wedding day and captured many wonderful moments throughout the course of their events that took place.

Nisha and Mohit have to be by far two of the busiest people I have ever met, but thankfully they still made time ti fit in their engagement session photos and a little bit of planning for a walk-thru to ensure that their coverage was flawless. With a team of 5 photographers we all worked together to see to it that there was complete coverage on the day of at multiple locations.

The wedding turned out simply stunning with the natural light streaming in on the ceremony. It could not have turned out to be a more beautiful day.

Nisha and Mohit it was great to spend time with you and your families. It was a pleasure and joy to get to know you both and have the opportunity to be present and document your wedding day. Don’t work too hard and be sure to take some rest every now and again!

The bright whites say it all!

I was on my way out to an ISES DC Board Meeting one day when I received the call from this amazing bubbly young lady named Sara. The moment I answered the phone her entire focus was on making an appointment to bring her fiance, Mother, Father and Sister out to meet with us to talk about her fabulous wedding and how extremely important their photos were to them.

Kevin was the quiet one as with many of our Regeti Groom’s although not all of them entirely, we do get a few into the studio that know and feel that they are certainly just as important and needed on the wedding day as the Bride.

But once again another Bride stole our heart and ran with it and we followed her out to the Cherry Blossoms on Easter morning to do her photos! Note that “The Regeti’s” haven’t ventured to the Cherry Blossoms since 2006 as we truly try to sway our clients from the blossoms as the focus is really on them and not their surroundings during our sessions. But Sara was set on the blossoms and I just could not tell her “No way!”. So as we were driving back into town that morning from a wedding in Jersey the night before we were able to spend what turned out to be an amazing evening with the two of them. Sara is very sharp, witty and full of charm there is much to love about her. Kevin is super smart, dedicated and those dimples I bet have broken some hearts!

You two as your careers bring you back to the Metro area please stay in touch, a little lunch with some old friends would serve you both well. Time is going to fly and you will be back in town before you two know it, we will await the telephone call!

I just have to do it… I promised to only post one image per post, but I honestly have two that are in a dead tie for her wedding. I CANNOT pick between them as they both include the two most important men in Sara’s life. I have to admit that I myself adore them as well. So here they are my 2 FAVORITES!

Adam and Melanie can keep you entertained for hours of endless comic relief as they talk about anything and everything under the moon!

These two right from our first meeting were convinced that they already knew exactly what they wanted and it was pretty evident that they found it within our little piece of heaven here in our Old Town Warrenton studio. A lot of our bridal clientele that we meet with tend to invest a good amount of time with us on their first visit almost so that some of them we connect with so well that you want to make dinner and a movie out of it! Melanie is one of those girl’s that I imagine you would always invite over for a slumber party, as she would be the life of the party!

When you see her and Adam together it is so evident that Adam would give his own life for hers. The way that he looks at her and the tenderness and patience he has as he lets Melanie state her mind. Melanie equally returns the glares and the two of them no matter when or where are quite inebriated by one another.

I think Srinu and I need a M&A fix pretty soon as we are starting to feel a little bit of separation anxiety from the two of them! We love you guys and are honored that we were the chosen ones!

Ann is one of those women that when you meet them they have this aura that projects around them that shows that in their life they will accomplish something great and work hard to help others. Both Ann and Mary are teachers so the gift of giving knowledge is already there, making them a huge asset to the community.

When we met Mary she was undergoing chemo so having seen her again bright and shining on their wedding day was a feeling of overwhelming joy as she was simply blushing and full of joy with amazing hair that many women would die for! It is moments in our lives like these that make us step back and count our blessing and speak of thanks for what is in the present and now. Through this one single image taken while at Congressional Country Club of Ann and Ken that is relevant and obvious… this is one of my favorite images from their wedding day!

We literally laughed the whole way through as Amit is such the joker.

Their days leading up to the day of their wedding were full of celebrations ending in a beautifully decorated reception for family and friends at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel in Washington DC. The room was just stunning when you walked in that it was a jaw dropper!

Shikha and Amit we hope that you two are enjoying the more relaxed way of life now that all the planning and execution is through with your wedding. Do stay in touch as we hope the blossoms will always mean something special to you both!

He was waiting for Diana’s visa to be cleared in order to travel to the USA and once it was there was no stopping the two of them. With a count down of 30 days or so Charles nailed down all of his event professionals and made it happen for the two of them. With a Church wedding and a beautifully executed intimate reception by Baltimore Waterfront Marriott it went off without any imperfections.

Charles is very witty and quick on his feet, he enjoys running in local charity events in the city and I believe a little bit of hiking too. Not sure if they actually went sky diving like they had mentioned, but I am almost for certain Diana’s first year in the USA has to have been a fun and eventful one.

It was such a pleasure getting to know Diana and Charles and the efforts that were put forth to bring Diana here in order to have their dream wedding. When you’re with the one you love nothing could be more sweeter!

Throughout every thing that the good Lord shelled out to them throughout the year and well before in their lives they still managed to stay beside each other, supportive and lovingly while each other pulled through. That my friends is the true sign of love and marriage and why we commit ourselves before a much higher power!

I remember meeting Nikki’s Daddy for the first time when we arrived at the house for her getting ready photos and her Daddy said to me, ” You guys were the one thing Nikki said she had to have!”, I was humbled to know that our Bride on the most important day of her life had felt so adamant about us as her photographers. It leaves you truly warmed in your heart.

Nikki and Will’s reception was full of almost a Southern Georgia flare in a lot of ways! They are so down to earth and in an awesome way that of what true rich American values stand for here in the USA. They are both pretty close with their families and know what it takes to make a strong one thrive in today’s crazy busy world.

We love you guys and hope that this year brings you great things, that you remember to keep in touch and never lose faith. You two have truly been blessed with your family and each other. Happy Holidays dear friends!

Nikki and Will's wedding at the Westfield's Marriott, Chantilly, Virginia

The gardens at this time of year can be quite breathtaking. Jocelyn and Todd’s personalities are so uplifting and calming that their wedding would not have been the same if it was not just that!

Sometimes it can be bittersweet watching our couples saying their “I do’s.” as a photographer you don’t see the nervousness that often within the couple till that very moment. These two are truly blessed to have found each other, they give a whole new meaning to “Soul Mates” cause they truly are.

During Jocelyn’s planning it was a pleasure to work with her knowing that she was always on top of her game, ahead of everyone as if she had been a planner in her past life. From all the cute details to her day right down to the execution of her timeline.

As for Todd, his Dad really loves him so much! I had a little time before the start of things to talk with Dad when we arrived, I could relate to him as my children are just ages 14, 9, 8 and 6 and often wonder what will happen when they are done growing their wings and fly away. I love them all the same, but my boys… I just feel they are pretty dependent on us and always clung to me. I can only hope that one day my son’s grow us and find a gal like Jocelyn!

Jocelyn and Todd, we dearly miss you and enjoyed being able to spend all that time that we have together this year!
